CIVIL ENGINEERING
The department of civil Engineering was established in 2002 to facilitate the progress of society with concrete conceptual datum and sound technological base in the fields of construction and water resource management. The department has been aggregating its potential in technological advancements in tune with natural priority areas and on subsequent changing scenario in the field of constructive and water resource management. The curriculum is periodically updated with the latest techniques and advancement in this field. Greater emphasis is given for laboratory classes to familiarize the students with modern equipment that incorporate the latest techniques. Students are given training in various software packages such as STAAD, CAD covering the courses of civil Engineering discipline.

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
The department of Mechanical Engineering was established in 1995
And it has an intake of 60 students. The department has well qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty and technical staff member. The department has excellent modern infrastructure facility to impart training to the state of art technology. The curriculum which is revised every year is framed in Anna University , Chennai with industrial experts. Keeping the demand of the industries and technological developments in mind, the department maintains close interaction with several reputed organization like LUCAS TVS, ISRO etc .

Laboratories:
Production process:
Engine lathes, Milling Machine (cnc), Shapers, Grinding Machines, tool and cutter grinder.
CAD/CAM:
Design software such as ANSYS & AUTOCAD software are available in this lab.
Thermal Engineering:
Heat transfer equipments, I.C Engines steam boilers and turbines, refrigeration and air conditioning test rings.
Metallurgy
Displacement, stress, strain, pressure, temperature, and vibration measuring devices, stroboscope, piezo-electric accelerometer.
Dynamics:
Speed reducer, gear train, governors, transverse vibration set up, balancing of reciprocating and rotary masses, drives and control of hydraulic and preumatic setup. Hydraulic turbines and pumps, Flow measuring devices etc.
Additional laboratories:
Fluid mechanics lab, Strength of Material lab, Micro processor lab, electrical & Electronics lab, Computer programming lab etc. |

The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, since its inception is well known for engineers with all round expertise to meet the growing demand for technical manpower in the industrial area. The department is equipped with excellent infrastructure and state of art equipment to explore the technological challenges in the areas of electronics, telecommunication, VLSI design, embedded system, signal processing and interaction with the scientific community and inputs obtained from the industries so as to facilitate better comprehension of the cutting edge technologies. Highly experienced and dedicated faculty, imparts quality training to motivate students with stress laid on application of engineering fundamentals to problem solving.

Activities of the Department
Being the foundation of the IT revolution, the students of this branch are prepared with a sound knowledge of the basic services, provided with a deep understanding of digital system, digital and analog communication, computer software and simulation tools. |

In the final semester, with prior sound knowledge of hardware, software and industrial exposure, the students carry their final year working projects.
Along with, they study advances subjects like satellite and mobile communication, artificial neutral networks, photonic systems, embedded systems, pattern recognition etc. |

The department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering was established in 2001 to growing demand for qualified technical person in the field of process control and instrumentation. |

Activities of the Department
- The students are also trained in hardware aspects of computer science with the help of courses like digital circuit design, microprocessor and digital signal processing.
- Advance courses like mobile computing, software engineering and knowledge based system etc. are taught to familiarize the students with the art of analysis and design in familiar systems.
- The students are also given sufficient courses related to communication systems and circuits with special emphasis on computer networks, Cryptology, artificial intelligence, distributed computing, pattern recognition, etc. from the contents of final semesters.
- Current development in computer Science and future trends are discussed in regular seminars in which resourse persons are invited from reputed industries, Anna University , Chennai and other well known organization.
